Laura Talbert

Laura has tried over 30 jury trials to verdict and has extensive courtroom experience. She is licensed in both Oklahoma and New Mexico. 


Laura has extensive courtroom experience as a former criminal prosecutor in Clovis, New Mexico. She has also served as an Assistant General Counsel for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, and as a civil litigator for a firm in Oklahoma City.  


Laura attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she graduated in 2012. While in law school, she served on the American Indian Law Review and worked as a licensed legal intern for OU's Criminal Defense Clinic.

Prior to law school, Laura received her Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from the John Jay College (CUNY) in 2010. 

She graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2008. 


When she is not working, Laura enjoys playing with her dog Madeline, the firm's  mascot and honorary paw-tner (we're ridiculous, we know). She also loves playing volleyball,  socializing with friends and colleagues, attending community events, and finding the best new food spots in OKC. 


Laura is active in the legal and OKC community. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Oklahoma Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division and as Vice President of the Oklahoma Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section. 

She also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Clovis Community College in Clovis, New Mexico. 


Laura is  a former Board Member for the Hartley House Domestic Violence Shelter, which she served from 2014 to 2015, and served as a youth mentor for Whiz Kids Tutoring in 2017.
